Sally Gilbert has been a practicing attorney in Oklahoma City since 1981. Much of her career has been spent in the courtroom in civil litigation. Ms. Gilbert has tried more than 50 cases to juries across Oklahoma and in federal court. However, she has always handled a variety of other cases in family law, probate and collections. More recently, Ms. Gilbert has been focusing on life and estate planning in general and for same-sex couples in particular. “There is a special need in the LGBT community for life and estate planning by a professional who understands that need. I want to make sure community members’ wishes are honored in these matters.”
In addition to her law practice, Ms. Gilbert has been active as a volunteer with Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma. She is the Oklahoma County Bar Association’s representative member of Legal Aid’s Board of Directors and also serves on the local campaign committee. She has volunteered her pro bono legal services to Legal Aid clients including those served by the HIV/AIDS Legal Resource Project.
